Profile: Process Pigging Systems, LLC specializes in the product recovery, the removal of products/material from sanitary tube or pipe using a pig constructed from a range of elastomers. The pigging process can be either manual or controlled by an automated system, usually with a PLC. We supply solid silicone rubber pigs for use in industries that need to remove product or material from a pipeline. The pigs are available in a range of colors and can be provided with or without internal magnet (used for detection purposes). There are other types of materials that pigs can be made out of, which can be used in other industries like chemical, paint and pharmaceutical. We supply many types of pig materials which are suitable for organic oil based products. We supply a magnetic field detector which senses the field created by the pig's internal magnets. This allows the location of the pig to be determined at specific points during the pigging process. The detection output is via volt free contacts which can be used to either provide a digital input to a control system or, in the case of a manual system sound a siren or illuminate a light. The period of the output detection signal can be configured so that a fast moving pigs still provide up to a 2.6 second output duration.
