Pt Fuse Failure Relay, Pptf-120
Description: PT fuse failure relay series PPTF-120 has been introduced. PT is a vital device in the overall control of the sub-station. If any of its fuse is blown out, it should immediately be brought to the notice of the plant maintenance persons. The relay is designed to help in detecting the fuse failure. To sense the fuse failure, input from each fuse's two ends are connected to the relay. Till the fuse is healthy, there is no potential voltage across the fuse and hence the relay is not energised. If any of the fuse fails, it develops potential voltage across the fuse terminal. This is sensed and a two contact relay is energized. The relay does not require any auxiliary supply. It is self-powered. Fuse failure is indicated by LED on the front panel.
