Description: PTFE/Teflon offers extraordinary resistance to high temperature and flames because it has very high melting point and auto-ignition temperature. It has low rate of heat release and smoke generation and can sustain sort exposure at higher temperature. PTFE/Teflon constitutes no fire hazard, as it is noninflammable. This material has been used satisfactorily at temperature range from -200°C to +250°C. PTFE/Teflon moulded and machined components such as rods, sheets, bushes, washers, gasket, diaphragms, rings, bellows, valve seats, piston rings, and wear rings are made from different filled grades of PTFE like glass, carbon, bronze and graphite. Specific requirements are custom made.
