Profile: Raven Carbide Die specializes in providing custom carbide dies. Our drawing dies are used in draw wires, rods, bars and tubes. Drawing wires are made of steel, aluminum, and copper alloys. We manufacture both shaving dies and inserts with a variety of rake or face angles. Shaving dies are typically used to remove surface defects that are introduced in the drawing process. The shaving process can be used on steel, aluminum, and copper alloys. Extrusion dies are typically used in an operation where a slug is forced through a carbide die creating a cross-sectional shape as dictated by the extrusion die. We also offer braze-type mandrels, floating plugs, shaped mandrels, single pointing dies, sleeve mandrels, and push pointing dies.
