Refractory Guniting Machine
The refractory guniting machine is launched by Surface International. This machine is widely used for repairing of electric arc furnace AOD, VOD, in hot and cold conditions. The main advantage is achieved when furnaces are repaired in hot condition. The loss of time is prevented, thereby achieving a lot of savings in terms of power. The availability of furnace is also substantially increased. These machines are manufactured in two sizes, D-3R and D-6R with an output range of 1.0 to 2.0 m3/hr. Bigger models are available in rotary gunning designs, where 5 to 6 m3/hr output of spraying refractory material can be achieved. The surface refractory gunning machines are also used for injection of coke in molten metal bath for making alloy steel. The machine entails features like remote control system, vibrating silo, semi-wet nozzle, refractory gunning nozzles, and coke injection nozzles. The refractory material is conveyed dry from the machine to the nozzle point and hydration as required is done at the nozzle point just before spraying. These machines are based on rotary conveying principle and have patented hydraulic disc sealing system through four number hydraulic cylinders and are available in different sizes for meeting different output application. Variable AC drives are provided as optional accessories to achieve different outputs in one machine.
