The ZC series zone control units are non-communicating. They are for use with standard thermostats where network communications is notneeded or with communicating thermostats for network connected systems. It connects between thermostats and HVAC system to allow 2 to 4 thermostats to create separate control zones with a single HVAC mechanical system using motorized dampers. Our dampers are round, extra rigid motorized dampers which is ideal for zoning, sub-zoning or local switch applications for home heating/cooling system. It is available in sizes of 6 inch through 16 inch, as either normally open or normally closed versions. Our touchpanels & keypads are a powerful hardware/software platform for creating custom user interfaces. Screens and buttons can be linked to control any device on the CommStar network via the commstar network control units. It combines multiple functions into a user interface (i.e., thermostats, lighting, security and relay controlled actions).
