Reversible AC Synchronous Motors
Description: Reversible AC Synchronous motors are un-geared motors with a low speed of 60 RPM at 50Hz and a large torque ranging from 2kg-cm to 60 kg-cm in three NEMA frame sizes -. O.D. 2.3″ (58 mm), 3.4 ' (86 mm) & 4.2' (108 mm); in 10 different models. The motor consists of 3 lead two-phase wound stator and permanent magnet rotor. The motor operates on 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Changing the phase shift network from one winding to other can reverse the direction. It can be stalled without overheating because starting; running and stalling currents are almost same. Since the motors are having extremely rapid starting, there is a limit to the inertia load at which the motor will start from rest. These motors are mainly used in servo stabilisers, valve control, modulating motors, timing belt drives, remote control of switches, edge guide controls in textile machines, automated welding equipments, display tables, furnace damper controls, X-ray scanning, photo film developing printing machines, and still film projectors.
