Profile: Robson Scientific is a supplier of quartz and borosilicate scientific glassware using industrial glass blowing techniques. We specialize in the production of lathe-drawn quartz tubing. We can supply close-tolerance material and fabricated products. Our products range from simple glassware to complex quartz laboratory apparatus supplied to the semiconductor, optical fibre, water sterilization and lamp industries. To overcome the differences in thermal expansion coefficients, we manufacture graded seals to bridge the difference by using a series of intermediate sealing glasses between the two working ends. Our interchangeable conical joints provide the ideal jointing system for the many laboratory applications. They are manufactured considering factors such as surface finish, profile, taper & circular cross section. These reduces the possibility of joint seizure or leakage.
