Rosta Elements For Modern Machine Construction
Description: The Rosta torsional elements combine the function of a spring damper and bearing in one unit. The element is constructed out of 4 special pretension elastomer inserts, the core and the surrounding housing. This assembly forms an integral spring device. Various types of elements have been engineered from this basic unit, which has applications ranging from the ordinary to the highly specialised. Tensioners, suspension elements, oscillating elements, self-tensioning motor bases are few examples. When employed as an oscillating element they can be used for angles of oscillation up to ±30°. The dampening effect of the spring, caused by the molecular friction within the rubber inserts lies in the ideal range of approximation of 20% of the impact or input vibration. The Rosta elements have no metal-to-metal contact and hence the operation is completely noiseless and maintenance free. These elements offer optimum noise absorption and efficient vibration reduction in all kinds of machines. The Rosta elements are unaffected by mud, water, dirt, salt, sunlight and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to 80°C.
