Rotary Air Lock Feeders
Description: Rotary air lock feeders are used to regulate the flow of material while creating an air lock. They are also used to feed material from silos/hoppers at a controlled rate and are used in a number of other pneumatic applications acting as an air lock barrier between the up and down streams. Rotary air lock feeders can also sustain heavy differential pressures and temperature. The rotary air lock feeders are manufactured in different variants such as drop-through, blow-through and off-set. The drop-through or in-line type is the most commonly used feeder and suitable for general applications. The blow-through version is used in pneumatic conveying applications where the material is blown away by the incoming stream of air from the pipeline. The off-set type is used to handle particularly hard, uncrushable particles, which jam/seize the rotor during operation. They can be provided with various types of rotors such as fixed-tip, flex-tip, deep-pocket, shallow-pocket, closed rotor and open rotor depending upon the application. The material of construction is MS, SS 304, SS316, CI, cast steel and other special materials, depending upon the application. The rotary air lock feeders are provided with high performance seals/gland packing which can be tightened as required by tightening the bolts, and are provided with round/square flanges to match the preceeding equipment. For food and pharma industries special, fast cleaning rotary air lock feeders can be provided.
