Different models like foot mounted, internal gear, or herringbone gear are offered to suit the different applications. The materials used for making these pumps can be CI, MS, cast steel, SS-316, bronze, and broinze/SS. The capacity of these pumps ranges up to 2000 LPM. Self-lubricating bush bearing, external bearing, external drive gear, and steam jacketed pumps can be supplied with soft packing or mechanical seals. These versatile pumps can handle fluids from LDO to molasses having viscosity exceeding 1, 50,000 SSU. For medium and high viscosity liquids, pump should be provided with flooded suction. The standard speed is 1450 RPM for fluids up to 2000 SSU viscosity. These pumps find application in pressurizing fuel oil, all types of oil transfer and machine tool lubrication, and hydraulic power packs.
