Profile: Cutting Edge Metal Processing specializes in advanced technology for metal cutting, forming, and coating. We are also specialized in custom fabrication, laser, plasma and structural cutting. We can offer fabrication on nearly any scale in materials such as steel, aluminum and stainless. We can design, engineer, cut, form, fit, weld, and/or coat the project. Our CO2 laser machine can cut plate up to 1 inch thick x 13 ft wide and 50 ft long. The burning bed is 185-feet long which allows continuous cutting without lost time during loading and unloading. This machine has a cutting tolerance of 0.006 per meter. We can successfully cut aluminum (to .38) and stainless (to 0.63). We can also cut mild steel plate up to 1 inch thick x 13 ft wide and 50 ft long. The 180-foot long cutting bed allows for continuous cutting without lost time during loading and unloading. We have ESAB plasma cutting machine that can cut with plasma, oxy-fuel, or high definition. This cutting machine also includes a built in bevel head. This feature makes it possible to make the bevel (up to 450) on part at the time of cutting. We can cut over 6 inch thick material using oxy-fuel. We commonly use plasma for cutting up to 1.250 inch thick & oxy-fuel cutting on 1 inch and thicker for carbon steel. The plasmas also cut stainless steel and aluminum. Lines can be marked (etched) on parts using the plasmas machine to aid in assembly and production. We are also equipped with Kranendonk robot profile cutter to our facility. The robot can cut flat bar, bulb flat, angle, channel, I-beam, and T-Beam. While the robot is making the cut, it can cut out the holes in structural member (intermediate cut), perform end cuts, and the inkjet marker labels material with part number.
