Profile: SG Transmission specializes in designing & manufacturing electromagnetic clutches and brakes. Our type 52 powered on electromagnetic brakes are all FM (flange mounted). The armatures can be supplied as C.L., C.C., or C.R. types or a hub, with or without bearings, to suit the needs of the drive train. The armature must be positioned with an air-gap to allow efficient operation, and must be checked at regular interval and reset where necessary. Our type 56 are electrically released brakes use double sided non-asbestos linings and a metal hub drive for safety. Three coaxial coil springs apply the braking force. Complete brakes can be supplied with or without a flange.
