Profile: S C A, Inc. is a manufacturer of tone and voice pagers. Our brands include Sceptar, Checkmate and Alps. Our Alps low VHF pager is compatible with most tone and voice paging systems. It is equipped with a built-in speaker, antenna and telescoping antenna. The pager is equipped with a circuit to prevent attempts to charge an alkaline or mercury battery. The Sceptar VHF pager is equipped with a monitor feature that allows the user to listen in on other pages transmitted on the same channel. The volume control may adjust either voice and alert tone or voice only. In the latter case, the alert tone remains at full volume regardless of the volume control setting.
