Our NorthStar™ ALD (atomic layer deposition) system is a versatile research deposition tool for thermal or energy enhanced ALD. With up to 8 precursor lines and a hot wall deposition chamber, a wide range of applications may be performed from a single system. Sample introduction is rapid and convenient with a quick hatch or the optional load lock. The NorthStar™ ALD system can be interfaced with other deposition and metrology tools. Integration of in-situ metrology tools and the RoboALD software/system automation increases process reproducibility. Our Schottky detectors are fabricated from the wide bandgap III-Nitride materials system with sharp cutoffs and excellent out of band rejection. Our standard package is a TO-46 header with cap. Other types of packaging are available including ones with built-in amplification. The detector bandedge can be "tuned" from 250 nm to 360 nm by varying the Al content. The detectors can be classified into three categories depending upon whether their bandedge falls in the UV-A (320 - 400 nm), UV-B (280 - 320 nm) or UV-C (250 - 280 nm) bands.
