Sand Casting
Description: Sand castings are in MS, alloy steel, manganese steel, centrifugal cast and cast iron. The plant is equipped with induction furnaces of 500 kg and 1000 kg, and all the necessary machinery and equipment required in sand casting and CI unit. The testing laboratory is equipped with weight analysis and spectrometer. Sand casting and Cl are taken up in weight from 40 kg to 1 tonne of any size and shape (single piece) as per drawing and specification, and material as per requirement. The sand casting process is best suited for producing parts having hollow cavities and a complex arrangement to ribs, pockets, and to those parts of sizes that make them unsuitable for casting in metal moulds. Sand casting mainly has applications for magnet frame, brake rigging assembly, case nub bogie, CoCo bogie, CS suspension tube for railway, spacers, blade extenders, rotor hub, blade adapter, main carrier, stator bell, stator ring, disc rotor, stator frame for wind mills, valve bodies for valves, gear casting, mill base, coal nozzle, grinding rings, gear castings for power sector, bell mouth and casting, CS mill casting for sugar plant, axle housing casting, sow mould for aluminium company, flywheels, CS wedge crusher casting, cylinder liners and sleeves, heavy duty marine engines, compressors, diffusers, machinery, automotive as well as earthmoving vehicles and equipments.
