Sealed external cage liquid level switches are completely self-contained, float-actuated units. It is designed for side mounting to a tank or vessel with threaded or flanged pipe connections. The buoyancy force of a process liquid on the float causes the float to move with the liquid surface. The movement of the float moves an attraction sleeve into the field of the switch magnet, pulling the magnet toward the sleeve and actuating the switch. It is used in accumulators, receivers, and storage tank and scrubber applications.
