Description: Self-centring chuck is offered. True chuck is made of high strength alloy cast iron, with robust jaw guides, and ample bearing for moving parts. Knob (where scroll revolves) and coupling racks are ground for easy movement of the chuck. The hardness is 170 HB min. The scroll plate is made from forged steel and precision machined for longer life, with hardness of 28 HRC min. The jaws are case hardened with gripping portion hardened to a hardness of 54 to 62 HRC and remaining portion of 28 HRC min. Pinions are made from alloy steel with a minimum hardness of 38 HRC. With an accuracy of max runout error 0.04 mm the material and specifications conform to ISI standards.
