Profile: Sensorphysics, Inc. specializes in providing UV sensor film, laser diagnostic, and UV glass products. The Lasertest spatial beam profilers measures the spatial distribution of light from laser, LED and fiber optic sources. These systems use standard RS-170 & CCIR cameras to capture beam images and the video signal is digitized with a framegrabber either a PCI or PC Card. The result is a live false color display of beam intensity along with key beam dimensional measurements. The 210 OEM series thermopile detector features an optically polished high graphite disk with light response from <180nm to >20um. It is suitable to measure high light power with specification of >100MW/cm2 power density. They can be used to measure high peak power lasers. Our UVSC-200 sensorfilm are 8x10 inch sheets of polyester coated with a thin layer of polymer. This polymer turns blue on exposure to UV beams from 220-320nm. The color change is instant and irreversible. Long term (several days) exposure to fluorescent light and outdoor UV exposure will also cause the polymer to change color. The effective grain size is about 1 um.
