The membrane systems used in water remove particles, microorganisms, molecules and ions from water. Ultrafiltration(UF), nanofiltration(NF), and reverse osmosis(RO) are the process involved in membrane systems. UF removes oil, allows recycling of rinses and can be used as pre-treatment for other processes. NF and RO reduce high concentration of ions in water allowing its reuse as rinse water. Zero discharge will eliminate water discharge. Closed loop eliminates wastewater discharge, reduces water/energy costs from 50 to 90%. Chemical recycle-microfilter and ultrafilter membrane systems recycle wash chemicals, machine coolants, and other baths. Microfiltration or ultrafiltration removes oil, fine particles from water and synthetic coolants. Waste water treatment treats wastewater for heavy metals and/or pH.
