Description: Shaft mounted speed reducer is compact, totally enclosed and designed for direct mounting on the drive shaft of the equipment to be driven. The direct mounting principle assures positive and permanent alignment of the speed reducer and the driven machine permitting convenient location of the motor as well as minimising space requirements and layout problems. It also eliminates foundations and offers unlimited installation flexibility. Mounted with a tie-rod it satisfies a wide range of output speeds and horse power requirements. These reducers consist of hardened precision machined alloy steel helical gears mounted on micro finish shafts supported on long life precision bearings with the capacity to handle maximum loading. The two-piece close grain CI housing provides sturdy support and insures permanent accurate alignment of all components. These are metric in design and confirm to AGMA standards wherever required. These are manufactured in 10 different sizes and have gear ratios of S:l , 13:1 and 20:1.
