Profile: Shiva Plastochem Industries specializes in providing PVC plastisol compounds for electroplating jigs & hand tools. Vinyl plastisols have typically been considered as 100% solids. Plastisols typically exhibit an approximate 2% emission loss during fusion, with vinyl organosols exhibiting a higher emission loss. The coating is properly fused when the plastisol & adjacent metal surface reach optimum fusion temperature. Plastisol inks are 100 % solid & solvent free. These inks are widely used in garment printing. They are easy to print, do not dry in the screen, can be very opaque on dark garments, and will adhere to most textiles. Plastisol inks must be heated to dry, as they will not dry or cure at normal temperatures. They can be printed on virtually any surface that can withstand the heat required to cure the ink, and is porous enough to permit good ink penetration. The plastisol ink wraps around the fibers, and makes a mechanical bond with the fabric.
