Signal Isolator/buffer Amplifier/signal Multiplier

Company: Integra Electronics

Description: Signal Isolators/ Transducers are used in process control systems in order to resolve the ground loop problems. It is used where the transmitting and receiving instruments (PLC, DCS) need to be protected. It is also used where the signal is required to be carried over long distances, which call for converting the voltage signal to current signal with excellent accuracy and repeatability. Buffer Amplifiers (1:1 repeater) are used when only signal isolation is required or where higher load driving capacity is required (for 4-20 mA O/P), which the analogue output module of PLC/DCS may not be able to provide. Signal Multipliers are essentially required for applications, which call for two or more output signals corresponding to a common input signal wherein the output signals are mutually isolated from each other as well as from the input signal and power supply (3 port isolation - 2 kV).
