Sintered NdFeB Magnets is the most powerful permanent magnet. They are available in a number of different grades that span a wide range of properties and application requirements. These magnets are brittle, and machining operations should be performed prior to magnetization, using diamond tools. It is an-isotropic, and can only be magnetized in the orientation direction. It has the highest energy products among the modern commercial permanent magnet materials and together with the extremely cheap hard ferrites. They are widely used in electric motors, VCMs, magnetrons, loudspeakers, sensors, relays, instruments and MRI.
