Description: SMPS (switching-mode power supply) Battery Charger operates on high frequency switching mode and so, it makes them highly efficient, compact and light weighted. It also accepts wide input voltage range and delivers almost ripple free DC output. Due to the above features of this charger, batteries get charged in a shorter span, more efficiently besides increasing the life. This charger works on genset as well as on the mains supply. These types of battery chargers are suitable for cyclic use as well as standby use. This chargers are used in application like generator battery charging, emergency lighting system, battery operated forklift, sub-station, and external charging for UPS batteries to increase the backup time. The input voltage ranges up to 180 to 260V AC. The technical features of this battery includes input filtration - RFI, EMI provided; line and load regulation - less than 1%; over voltage protection - approx 105 to 110% of rated output (latched type); over current - charger is fully protected against short circuit and overload; reverse polarity protection - charge is fully protected protection against reversal of battery polarity, charger will not give the output till the batteries are connected with proper polarities; over temperature - unit is shutdown with excessive internal temperature (auto recovery); voltage adjustability - ±5% or 10 to 100% of rated output voltage on demand; ripple and noise - less than 1%; operating temperature - 0 to 50oC; and typical efficiency - 75%.
