Profile: Sonotronics is a manufacturer of ultrasonic transmitters, receivers & hydrophones for the tracking and relocation of animals and equipment under water. Our product line includes ART acoustic 7 radio, CHP, CT coded, and CTT temperature transmitters. Our ART-01 transmitter is a combination acoustic and radio transmitter manufactured through a joint effort of Sonotronics and Telonics. It intermittently emits an acoustic pulse at a standard Sonotronics crystal controlled frequency, followed by an RF pulse within the 148-154 mHz range. The RF signal is also crystal controlled, and is available in 10 kHz increments. Our IBT-96-9 Itty-Bitty transmitter family represents a combination of very small size, and long life acoustic transmitters. Beginning at 0.7g in weight in water, these small transmitters allow researchers unique choices for tagging slender fishes, while the long life, and continuous transmissions allow active tracking for an entire year.
