Our oceanographic tow winch incorporates three basic winch sizes including large OTW, medium MTW, and small STW winches. All the winches within this family have the same characteristic formed plate design and compact shape. They all contain cable guide sheaves in their level wind assemblies that can be instrumented for measurement of cable parameters such as line tension and scope. Winches in all three size categories can be acquired with standard and optional features such as integral/separate hydraulic power units. Each of the three categories is acquired with a variety of cable storage capacities, line pulls, line speeds, and horsepower. We integrate iridium-based data telemetry into data collections systems, including a variety of standard & custom configured products such as single sensor platforms, integrated oceanographic & meteorological buoys, and terrestrial data logging systems. Our iridium-based data telemetry provides global 24/7 coverage, secure two way communication, low power, and ready access. It is easily configured for a wide variety of applications. Our data collection and iridium-based telemetry systems are ruggedly constructed to meet the demanding requirements of deployment, operation & recovery in hostile marine & terrestrial environments.
