Profile: Space Systems/Loral is a provider of geostationary commercial satellites. We offer services such as broadcast and cable programming, broadband digital communications, direct-to-home television, environmental & meteorological monitoring, air traffic control, digital audio radio & mobile satellite services. We provide digital audio/radio satellites built for Sirius satellite radio for delivery of a new satellite-to-car, CD-quality, radio broadcast system. Our 1300 series satellite platform has a total satellite power ranging from 5 to 25 kW continuously throughout the life of the spacecraft, and can support from as few as 12 active transponders to as many as 150 transponders. It features a lightweight & high-strength structure, fuel-efficient attitude & station keeping subsystems, solar arrays & batteries, and advanced command & control subsystems.
