Various spindle features include: permanent magnet, AC induction and air-driven motors; ball bearings, hydrostatic and air bearings; widest spindle power range; spindle speeds up to 200,000 RPM; HSK taper, steep taper, direct collet clamping, manual collet and threaded arbor tool holding configurations; and spindle housing diameters from 42 to 310 mm.
