Profile: Steel City Refractories produces refractory castables, plastics, low cement castables, gunnites, shot-cretes, ramming mixes, mortars and precast shapes. We offer casting shapes for cement, power, aluminum, steel, copper, iron, graphite and brick industries. Our refractory products include silicon carbide, cement free, low cement, fused silica, low vibratable, conventional and insulating castables. We also assist with the development of first time precast shapes. All product mix formulations are tested in the research testing facility and are compatible to our precast shape making process. Our mixing process allows for mixing large batches with a high speed mixer and turning out volume of materials much quicker, for larger shapes.
