Profile: Sterling Machining Ltd manufactures extrusion tooling such as dies, mandrels and pressure pads. We manufacture a variety of piling cases and mini piling cases for the ground work engineering industry. These are made of steel and can be galvanised and treated to prevent corrosion to the piling case. Our range of piling cases includes sizes up to 508mm diameter. We manufacture a variety of valve stems in a range of sizes. Two of the main valve stems we produce are gate stems and globe stems that are used in valves for oxygen, acids, sea water. These valve stems are made from materials such as aluminum bronze, stainless, nickel alloys, duplex, super duplex, inconel and titanium, monel. Our services include CNC turning, CNC milling/drilling, grinding and quick turn services. Our CNC turning operations ranging in size typically from diameters of 20mm up to 500mm varying in length up to 3.5m are available. Two of our specialist areas are the machining of long slender shafts as well as the machining of bores with silent tools boring bars. This is one of our main areas for subcontract machining.
