Superfinishing Machine
Superfinishing Machine is a pneumatically-operated super finishing unit that can be mounted on the tool post of any lathe. It can super finish the rotating components with the help of the oscillating movement of the superfinishing stone. It is highly useful in improving the surface finish up to 0.02 µ Ra on various shafts, piston rolls, hard chrome-copper plated/aluminum rolls, rotogravure rolls, and gear shaft needles. It has amplitude of 1-5 mm and can perform 2000-2500 oscillations or strokes/min and has 1 head. The feed can perform a pneumatic travel of 35 mm. The coolant pump has the capacity of 0.1 HP, 2800 RPM. The filtration unit has a 3 stage filtration system with a magnetic, paper filter. The gravity has the air consumption capacity of 8-12 Nm3/hr and air pressure of 4 bar.
