Description: Large Size Surface Grinding Machine, Model GSH-8 is available with maximum table size of 800 x 400 mm (Jumbo model with 1000 x 500 mm). It is built with rigid construction and has high motor power for higher metal removal rate. Its longitudinal table drive is hydraulic with separate hydraulic power pack with solenoid valves. It has a reversal cushioning device to facilitate soft reversal of the table. The table rapid position is possible with jog buttons. The table guideways are one Vee and one flat and are Turcite-B lined. An automatic lubrication system is also provided. The table speed is infinitely variable from 1 to 18 m/min. The maximum longitudinal travel is 850 mm and maximum cross traverse is 445 mm. The size of the standard grinding wheel is 300 x 40 x 76.2 mm and optional grinding wheel is 350 x 50 x 127 mm. the drive is electro-mechanical by means of trapezoidal lead screw and adjustable split nuts. The auto cross feed is infinitely variable from 2mm to 25 mm at each table reversal. The least count of the vertical feed hand wheel is 0.001mm. The machine is capable of performing grinding jobs that requires high degree of surface finish (within 0.4 to 0.8 Micron RA) and flatness accuracy (within 10 Microns).
