Description: Tailor Welded Blanks (TWBs) is a ND-Yag laser semi automatic welding system, a replacement to the conventionally used CO2 system. It reduces the manufacturing costs and decrease vehicle weight. A TWB is manufactured by welding together two or more sheets of metal of different thicknesses, material grades, and/or coatings to produce a single blank, which is subsequently formed stamped. Tailor welded blanks system is a semi automatic unit equipped with discharge shuttle. The capacity of the unit in terms of blanks is - 1000mm (2- shift basis). The weld speed is 5-7m/min.
