Description: Test benches offered are self-contained and compact units, specially designed to test a wide range of pumps, mono-block pumps, submersible pumps and AC induction motors. The tests can be carried out either at 0.5% or 1 % or 1.5% accuracy (at full-scale reading) according to the customers' requirements. According to I : 9137: 9178, measurements of power input should be carried out during the testing of centrifugal, mixed flow and axial flow pumps. In these test benches, two watt meter systems are provided for measuring electric power input to the prime mover of pumps. Also provided are voltmeter and ammeter to allow testing of mono-block and submersible pumps. According to IS: 325 : 1978, the following schedule is recommended during testing of induction AC motors: (1) volts, (2) amperes, (3) power input, (4) percentage of slip, (5) power factor, and (6) efficiency. On these test benches voltage, ampere and power input can be observed. Output power should be measured with the help of a dynamo meter. With the help of all these observations, power factor and efficiency can be calculated. The test benches are designed and fabricated with rugged angle iron as well as base channels for foundation.
