Three Phase Line Reactors are intended for use with the 590 series three-phase controllers. They are used when voltage transformation or supply isolation is not required. These line reactors reduce the level of voltage notching on the supply, limit total radiated RF interference and reduce current spikes in the supply lines during commutation of the SCR bridge. This reactor acts as a current-limiting device & filters the waveform and attenuates electrical noise & harmonics associated with the inverter/drive output. This line reactor protects ASDs, extending motor life, reducing power line distortion, attenuating harmonics and eliminating nuisance tripping. The line reactors reduce load-generated harmonics, improve system power factors and ensure the short-circuit voltage is within the commonly required 4 or 2% limit.
