Description: Principal application of tung nichrom thermal spraying powder: conveyor chain and mixer paddles. Features: unequalled abrasion - resistance; excellent edgeretention; outstanding weldability; resistance to oxidation; resists softening effects of high temperature or thermal cycling. Recommendations: it is a tungsten carbide-bearing alloy providing superior weldability on flat and contoured surfaces, and providing coatings with a hardness of 57-64 RC (combined hardness of nickel-base matrix and carbide particles). Coatings are exceptionally wear-resistant against abrasive media (such as sand, gravel, cement), thermal cycling, heat scaling and corrosion. Its coatings exhibit superb edge buildup characteristics especially where retention is critical to the performance of the part or tool.
