Track jacks are used for a variety of track maintenances such as surfacing, tamping and lining track. It is made of aluminum. It is used in conjunction with a lining bar, which fits into the square socket hole at the backside of the jack. It is used in railway track maintenance. It does not protrude above rail height or come within 50mm of the running edge and are lowered from full height within 10 seconds.
