Tugger automatic guided vehicle is a powered and wheel based transport vehicle. It is capable of pulling one or more non-powered vehicles (with loads) behind it in a train. Automatic guided vehicle operates under computer control with out the need for human operators or drivers. It is also known as a self-guided vehicle, is an unmanned, computer-controlled mobile transport unit that is powered by a battery or an electric motor. AGVs are programmed to drive to specific points and perform designated functions. It has following features man-abroad design, off-the-shelf components, graphical touch screen, manual and automatic vehicle dispatch. It is used for load transferring, pallet loading/unloading and tugging/towing.
