A geotextile is defined as any permeable textile material used to increase soil stability, provide erosion control or aid in drainage. They are usually made from a synthetic polymer, such as polypropylene, polyester, polyethylenes and polyamides. Geotextiles can be woven, knitted or non-woven. Geomembranes are impermeable geosynthetics that are used as canal & pond liners, landfills, wastewater treatment lagoons, oil exploration, aquaculture, irrigation ponds and remediation. It is used as a cushion to protect the geomembrane. Geomembrane liners offer puncture resistance and can withstand a wide range of chemicals & temperatures.
