Profile: U S T Umweltsensortechnik GmbH manufactures sensors and development services. We specialize in developing sensitive and long-term resistant sensors, used for the detection of smouldering belowground fires. Our sensors are used in environmental protection and food testing. Automotive manufacturers also use our sensors for their air quality systems. Our temperature sensors are produced on a ceramic base chip, with a thin film laser structured platinum layer. This type of construction ensures stability, combined with smallest dimensions. For operating temperatures up to 400 °C connecting wires from silver-palladium are used, whilst on higher temperatures the wires are of platinum. Platinum temperature sensors are available in various shapes and dimensions.
