Profile: Universal Black Oxide is a metal finishing facility. Black Oxide processing is ideal for aviation components, automotive components, machinery, fasteners, springs, firearms, specialty tooling, gears, hand tools and many other components where a durable black, clean finish is desirable. We can provide certifications for mill specifications. We provide black oxide processing using both rack and barrel, depending on the component. Black oxide finishing cannot be produced over plated parts (e.g. zinc, chromium, phosphate). This plating must be stripped prior to the black oxide process.
