Profile: Universal Plastics Corporation specializes in precision custom thermoforming. Our capabilities include heavy gauge forming from sixty thousands thickness to an inch & a half thickness, and to a draw depth of up to 30 inches. Our equipment allows for all types of vacuum forming and pressure forming, including twin-sheet forming, for part sizes 5' X 15', or 7' X 9'. For volume production needs, we offer both 3-station and a new four station, twin sheet capable rotary pressure former, which can form parts up to 7' long. We are also capable of providing secondary operations, offering assembly, painting, shielding, and unit packing to meet the most demanding requirements. We work with all thermoplastic material, including ABS, FR ABS, PVC, HIPS, PETG, polycarbonate, and acrylic. We are specialized in working on HDPE. Our thin gauge capabilities solve the packaging needs from blister packs to finely detailed clamshell packaging, serving the medical, food packaging, consumer product, display, and electronic industries. Heavy gauge thermoforming compares well against injection molding, rotational molding and blow molding for large parts & lower volumes. With vacuum forming, we can make tote trays, handling trays, protective covers, and pallets up to 15' long or 6' in diameter. Pressure forming is ideal to replicate fine detail on large parts.
