Universal Slide Units, Us Series
Description: Universal slide units are specially designed for adaptability on special purpose machines. They can be used both as table units for mounting fixtures where feed/indexing is given and spindle feed where feed/indexing of spindles is required. Regarding salient features carriage or table is high grade CI machined on all sides, sliding surfaces lined with Turcite for low wear and tear and stickslip free movement, rectangular guideways case hardened to 58>>62 HRc to get very high reliability and life, guideways fixed on rigid high grade CI/rigidly fabricated, stress relieved slide base designed to take even heavy cutting loads, slides with narrow guide system with a taper gib for adjusting the clearance, slides requiring hydraulic feed are fitted with special feed type cylinders and low friction seals to get smooth feed motion, wiper fixed on the carriage for cleaning the hardened guideway strips as a standard, and slides provided with 4 proximity elements fixed on the unit for feed control along with suitable trip dogs. These are: a. Feed End - P1; b. Home 2 - P2; c. Home 1- P3; and d. Feed Change Over - P4. A114 proximity switches and trip dogs. Proximity switches P2, P3, P4 are housed inside the acrylic cover. P1 is fixed at rear end and inside the telescopic cover. The slide unit is provided with adjustable mechanical stop (screw and nut) at top of the hydraulic cylinder.
