It is designed with specialized camera and lighting to separate itself from other veneer graders. This uses an industrial hardened PC with dual processors and windows NT. This allows the use of standard software and hardware. This also makes the system upwardly mobile with advances in technology. Robotic plugging system or RPS allows full automation of the process. Sheets of veneer are scanned and patchable defects are identified and held in memory while the veneer is passed to one of the robotic cells.
