Description: Vertical Carousel Storage System is modern, innovative, automated storage and retrieval system for unit loads that are either loose or in bins/crates or even on pallets. It utilizes full available height compared to the conventional system. It is a PLC/computer controlled storage system where the number of carries is suspended on a pair of endless chain loops. The most modern controls enable the operator to call for a part/location by its code number alone, thus avoiding cumbersome recall of the location address. The desired part/location is presented in front of the operator at a convenient height with existing quantity indication, which can be updated easily after every transaction. This is done in the stand-alone operation without any need of external PCs, which are prone to failures in dusty, noisy, rough and tough atmospheres encountered in stores. It is supported with additional interfacing facility that enables connections to the printer and/or PC and mainframe computers.
