Our direct operated valve operates independently of external power supplies. The valve contains a control mechanism within it, which proportions the system's flow between the cooler and a bypass, thereby maintaining a constant temperature. This mechanism is powered by a thermostatic element which expands at a pre-set temperature. Our gas operated control valve is designed for the control of refrigerant gas pressures, and hence the temperature of the air conditioned areas in marine air conditioning systems, in which the condenser is cooled by sea water. The valve operates independently of any outside power source and externally requires only a small bore pipe connection to the refrigerant sensor.
