Description: Worm reduction gearbox range has two categories - one called as UMT or Universal Mounting which has detachable feet while second category is called as IB or Integral Base. UMT range covers centre distance from 1.1/8″ (size) to 3.5″ (size 35). Due to detachable feet, there exists flexibility of converting the gearbox to R/RURV type. In R type, the input is located below output, in RI type output is located below input, in RV output is vertical. IB type range covers centre distance from 4″ (size 40) to 17″ (size 170) and have varieties like R type, RI type and RV type. Gearbox ratios are available from minimum 5:1 to maximum 70:1. However through appropriate selection of two worm reduction gearboxes, it is possible to select combination of two gearboxes to get higher ratios/higher output torque/lower output speed. Capacity in terms of input HP stretches widely from about 0.4 HP in case of size 11, ratio 70:1 to 400 HP for size 170, ratio 10:1.
