Profile: X-Cel Superturn (US) Inc. specializes in producing precision machined components. We predominantly support the petrochemical (including down hole drilling, surface, and subsea applications) power generation, aerospace & construction industries. We manufacture complex machined components to our customer's designs. We work for a variety of industries including oil & gas, heavy automotive, railway and metal processing. Our modern machine tools are complemented by our CAD/CAM and Factorymaster production control system. We carry ring type joints, spiral wound gaskets, non-metallic gaskets & sheeting, proprietary sub-sea gaskets, bolting and HPU gaskets. Ring type joints are primarily used by the oil, gas and petrochemical & offshore industries. They are also commonly used on valve/pipework assemblies, and high integrity vessel joints. Ring type joints are used to seal flanged connections subject to high pressures and temperatures. These precision made solid metal gaskets form a metal-to-metal seal with the flanges. The gasket cross-sections are designed to concentrate the bolt load over a small area to produce a high-seating stress. The high seating stress causes plastic-flow of the gasket into the flange faces to create the seal. The RX and BX gaskets are designed to be pressure energized, which improves their efficiency as the internal pressure of the system increases. R and RX series ring type joints can contain pressure up to 5,000 PSI. BX series ring type joints can contain pressure up to 20,000 PSI. All ring type joints are manufactured as per API 6A specification. Spiral wound gaskets have the capacity to recover under fluid pressure and temperature changes. It consists of an outer guide ring, a centralized sealing element and a smaller inner ring used commonly for seating of the ring. We can source a vast range of different inner ring, outer ring, and sealing materials to conform to the requirements of our international customer base.
