Description:
Wafer type full-bore ball valves with a Saturn brand unibody side entry design are offered by Mevada Engineering Works. These are ideally suitable for space, less stress on pipeline and cost saver installation in all kinds of process and utility services, whereby the valve gets sandwiched between the flanges with the help of sub-ends. Salient features include: a floating ball, where sealing takes place by allowing the ball to move under pressure towards the down stream seat to achieve positive tight shut-off. The moulded PTFE and reinforced TFE seats assure positive seating and lower operating torque. The valve has an anti-static device and safety feature, i.e., when static is generated and concentrated on the ball due to solvents and high velocity, the spring-loaded balls are installed on the stem, which keep continuity throughout the valve and discharges the static. It has a pyramidal stem which provides defence against leakage. The tapered face of the stem collar gets lined in contact with the body and blocks all leak paths after the thrust seal (washer) is worn out. The lower emission seal ring is used for fugitive emission. The blow out proof stem is internally inserted and functions as a back seat for assured stem sealing at all pressures, renewable seat & seals. The live loaded gland packing avoids frequent and positive gland tightening against high number of cycles. The long heightened lever facilitates easy operation & insulation/puffing on the valve body and pipeline. The ball valves are in compliance with standards such as B 16.34, BS 5351, BS 6755-1. Their size ranges from 40 to 150 mm and are of class 150. Electro polished (buff) finish & ultra clean valves are provided optionally for food & pharmaceutical industries. These types of valves provide pneumatic and electric actuator operations.
